The first bit of DLC for Final Fantasy XIII-2 will be available today via the Xbox Live Marketplace and the PlayStation Network. This DLC will feature the coliseum battle ?Lightning and Master Sergeant Amodar?. For those that don?t recall, Amodar was Lightning?s superior officer back in the day. For some reason they want to fight Lightning?s sister and her new friend Noel. But who cares about the details? Beat them and they?ll able to join your party as monsters? er.
Huh that?s kind of odd isn?t it? Lightning?s not a monster, maybe it?s not the real lightning. Maybe she?s an alternate dimension Lightning from 400 years into the future. That?s probably it.
Square Enix has also said that down the road, additional episodes will be released that will enhance and complement the narrative of Final Fantasy XIII-2 with storyline branches for key characters. Sounds like there?s plenty more DLC to come!
