Hair Today
Back in August, Beyoncé caused a bit of a stir when she went and chopped off all of her hair. In the months since, she decided to put hair pieces back in to make it a bit longer but she’s mostly kept her hair short … until now. Bey posted a cute new photo on her official Instagram profile that she snapped with daughter Blue Ivy at a beach in New Zealand and as you can see below, she’s wearing a weave that gives her back a long of hair length. As you may know, Beyoncé is getting ready to go back on tour here in the US so I guess she decided she needed her long flowy locks for the occasion.
She may dress up in elaborate performance costumes for the Mrs. Carter World Tour Show, but Beyonce loves rocking a bikini by the beach in her down time. The “Grown Woman” singer tends to keep her family life private, only sharing a select few images posing with husband Jay Z and of her 21-month-old daughter Blue Ivy Carter. On Oct. 16 the star posted an Instagram image holding her little girl by the water. The star performer wore her hair long and flowing freely with a bikini top and a casual pair of jean shorts. Queen Bey is known for her lavish yacht vacations and loves the ocean. In her concert documentary, Year of 4, the iconic diva said, “I’m always happy when I’m surrounded by water. The ocean makes me feel really small and it makes me put my whole life in perspective.” The powerhouse vocalist is currently in New Zealand for four performances on her multi-million dollar tour. Beyonce has been on the road since April, extended her tour’s duration by several months.
The mega tour is currently set to end on Dec. 22 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.
I had a feeling Bey wouldn’t keep her hair supershort for long. She’s just too fabulous with longer hair when she’s performing on stage so I knew the weave would be back. So long as she manages to keep from gettin’ her weave caught in her air fans, she should be just fine. As for this cute photo with Blue Ivy, I mean … duh, all her photos with Blue are adorable. It looks so peaceful and tranquil by this beach. It’s nice that she gets to spend some downtime with her daughter in between performances. I love everything about this photo … including B‘s longer hair, don’t you?
