Business Management Daily Wins Web Design Award at 36th Annual International SIPA Conference

Falls Church, Va. ? The Specialized Information Publishers Association (SIPA) has named BusinessManagementDaily.com the third-place winner in the international 2012 SIPAwards competition for Best New or Relaunched Website. Business Management Daily?s Senior Web Editor Elizabeth Hall and Web Developer Chad Barbee won the award for their work on a complete redesign of the website in 2011.

The award was presented during SIPA?s 36th Annual International Conference May 20-22 in Washington, D.C., a training and networking event for professionals in the publishing industry. The association named 44 winners for excellence in editorial, marketing and online categories.

?The range of subjects reflects the incredible range of topics covered by SIPA members,? said SIPA?s Executive Director Matt Salt. ?Winning a 2012 SIPAward is an especially impressive achievement given that there were a record 217 entries and the judging was conducted by a specially chosen group of industry peers.?

Falls Church, Va.-based Business Management Daily first launched BusinessManagementDaily.com in late 2008. The website offers articles, free special reports, blogs and other resources for business professionals on a range of topics, including human resources, office technology and workplace communication. In 2011, Hall was tasked with a redesign of the entire website to reflect current industry trends and best practices.

?After about a year of looking at the traffic trends and seeing how people were really using the website, I went back to the drawing board and revamped Business Management Daily?s taxonomy, navigation and layout,? Hall said. ?I?m pleased to see that our readers are better able to navigate the website and find the content they want.?
